Like most racing tyres from Continental, the GP5000 uses the special Black Chili Compound. This special compound allows the tyre to offer the ultimate balance between grip and durability. Puncture protection is thanks to the Vectran Breaker layer. This minimal puncture protection layer is very effective and ensures that punctures are kept to a minimum. In this new version of the Grand Prix, the Vectran Breaker is even stronger than before.

The profile on the edge of the tread gives you optimum grip on the asphalt.The Vectran anti-puncture layer protects the tyre better against punctures. The 'Active Comfort' layer has a shock-absorbing effect and dampens vibrations from the road surface, without negatively affecting rolling resistance.
