When you go for the best, it is obvious that you combine all the best components for the best result. The rim - the most important element of top wheels - has been completely redesigned. The world is changing with wider tyres and new rim profiles, requiring a different approach to aerodynamics. With this knowledge in mind, the new FFWD rim profile LAW Tech was developed as the basis for the new FFWD RAW. LAW is short for 'Laminar Airflow Wing' and has been specially developed to deliver better aerodynamics when using wider tyres by creating a smooth airflow. Testing multiple lay-ups and set-ups led to the optimal combination of stiffness, aerodynamics and weight you would expect in a wheelset like this.

Details make the design

As important as aerodynamics are, it is the combination of multiple factors that makes a top model earn its stars. What sets the RAW apart is the use of internal nipples and the new DT Swiss 180 EXP hubs. These have SINC ceramic bearings that keep rolling resistance to an absolute minimum and increase durability. The use of only the best high-end components contributes to the low weight of this wheelset, which weighs just 1,420g.

When you have the best of the best, you want them to shine too! The RAW is the only model with a FFWD logo moulded into the carbon rim flange and a special design with brilliant metallic decals!
